In 1820s Russia, the elegant and disillusioned young aristocrat Eugene Onegin leaves the glittering life of St. Petersburg behind after inheriting his late uncle’s country estate. There, he befriends his idealistic neighbor Vladimir Lensky, who introduces him to the intelligent and sensitive Tatyana Larina. Tatyana soon falls deeply in love with Onegin, but while her feelings grow stronger, he remains determined to see her only as a friend—setting in motion a chain of choices that will change all three of their lives.
